What are the dates of the 2025 MIC?
September 22-25, 2025
When does the 2025 MIC officially start?
MIC will officially start with our Opening General Session at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, featuring Doug Remboldt, NISC President and CEO, and a guest keynote speaker.
Where is the 2025 MIC being held?
MIC is being held in Louisville, KY at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC).
When are the Member Advisory Committee and Functional Sub-Committee meetings being held?
These meetings will be held during the day on Monday, September 22, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the MIC Opening General Session. More details will be shared as they become available.
Hotel
When can I book my room?
You will make your hotel reservations using a special link once you have registered for the conference. This will put you in NISC’s room block which includes a discounted room rate. The hotels will not honor the NISC rate when reservations are made by any other method. There is a limit of one room/suite per registered Member.
What hotels are available in the NISC room block?
We will have rooms available at the Embassy Suites Louisville Downtown, Galt House Hotel, Hyatt Regency Louisville, Louisville Marriott Downtown, Omni Louisville Hotel and the Seelbach Hilton. All hotels are within a few blocks of the conference venue and are easily walkable. There is a limit of one room/suite per registered Member. Please visit the hotels page for more information.
Can I book a room any days before and/or after the conference for my personal stay? Will I be able to get NISC’s discounted rate for those days?
The NISC discounted room rate will be available three days before and three days after the conference, based on hotel availability.
I am bringing my family. Can I book more than one guest room?
Guest rooms are limited to one per registered Member. Friends & Family are not able to book separate guest rooms under NISC’s room availability.
Registration
What is the registration cost this year?
Early bird registration fees are $1,195 through Friday, June 20. For registration after June 20, the regular registration fee of $1,295 will apply.
What does my conference registration include?
The Opening General Session and Welcome Reception on Monday, continental breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, all class sessions, MICfest on Wednesday evening and a hot breakfast prior to the Closing General Session on Thursday morning.
Do you have daily rates if someone cannot attend the whole conference?
The one-day rate is $500 per day. Note: This rate does NOT include MICfest on Wednesday evening. If you are requesting a one-day only registration, please register as usual and then send an e-mail to mic@nisc.coop so we can adjust the rate.
Are badges required at all events?
Yes. Badges will be required for all events including MICfest.
Can I bring Friends & Family to MIC this year?
Yes. There is a $400/person registration fee for attendees age 21 and older, and a $250/person registration fee for attendees 4-20. Friends & Family registration will include one receptions (Monday), two continental breakfasts and lunches (Tuesday & Wednesday), and MICfest on Wednesday evening. There is no separate ticket for MICfest only.
I have dietary requirements. How do I communicate those?
Upon registration, you will be asked to note your dietary requirements. Our event planners will review and ensure your needs are met. If you have additional questions, please email mic@nisc.coop.

What are the hours for the MIC registration desk?
The registration desk will be located on the main level of the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Hours (All Eastern Time):
- Sunday, September 21, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, September 22, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 23, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 24, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Thursday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Members who pick up their badge prior to 2 p.m. on Monday, September 22, will be entered into a drawing to win a prize during the Opening General Session.
What are the cancellation policies for MIC?
For cancellations through Friday, August 15, 2025
Cancellations will be accepted at no charge through Friday, August 15, 2025. Your registration fee will be refunded in full. Cancellations can be made on the MIC registration site.
For cancellations after Friday, August 15, 2025
NISC will refund your registration fees minus a $350 cancellation penalty. Registration substitutions are allowed at any time at no charge. Please send your registration substitution requests to mic@nisc.coop.

Travel / Transportation
What airport should I fly into for MIC?
The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is the city’s major airport and is located approximately six miles from downtown Louisville.
What transportation to and/or from the airport to MIC hotels is provided?
MIC attendees will be responsible for their own transportation to the MIC conference or hotels. However, as provided in previous years, we will be offering shuttle service from the Kentucky International Convention Center to the airport for a $30 fee on Thursday, September 25, ONLY from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Is there a place I can store my luggage on Thursday, September 25, since I’ll need to checkout before MIC is over?
Yes. We will have an area where you can drop off your luggage at the Convention Center prior to attending the breakfast and the Closing General Session.
Miscellaneous
What is the attire for MIC?
Business casual (jeans are okay) for all educational sessions is suggested. While the weather is typically warm in Louisville in September, meeting rooms tend to be chilly. We recommend bringing a sweater or layers during the day. Onsite receptions and MICfest are casual.
I am a concurrent session speaker at MIC this year. When can I access the room where my session will take place?
Concurrent session rooms will be available for viewing & practice on Monday, September 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
